There are many not-for-profit career centers in the Chicago area;  however, none specifically servicing our local communities. As a result, in June 2009 your neighbors and community leaders created the North Suburban Career & Networking Center (NS-CNC).

We are a volunteer-driven, objective-based, not-for-profit organization that believes by working together as a North Shore community we will reduce a job seeker’s time in transition.

Our mission at NS-CNC

• Empower job seekers by improving their skills and understanding of the search process.
• Assist job seekers with support groups staffed by professionals who volunteer their time.
• Provide a safe, supportive and confidential environment .
• Engage community participation and awareness of employment issues and concerns.

NS-CNC is founded on the principle that a focused and well-prepared job seeker will secure a new position in a shorter period of time
